Talent Hunt-2023 held at M. M. Modi College, Patiala

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala organized two days ‘Talent Hunt – 2023’ to provide a platform for students to explore their creative and artistic skills. The programme was inaugurated by chief guest Prof Bawa Singh, Former Vice Chairman, National Minorities Commission, Government of India. The programme started with a lamp lighting ceremony, Saraswati Vandana and Shabad Gayan by the students.
College Principal, Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the chief guest and participants. He said that these programmes are designed to develop the creative potential and artistic skills of our students. He told that college is committed to develop its students not only as future leaders but also as creative human beings.
Prof. Neena Sareen, Head of Commerce Department and Dean Co-Curricular activities introduced the chief guest, the guests and various themes for different competitions.
Chief Guest Prof Bawa Singh congratulated the winners of various competitions and said that Modi College has maintained a balance between academic excellence and creative virtuosity. He motivated the students to work hard and excel in their careers.
More than 400 students participated in the talent hunt competition. Competitions such as Elocution, Folk Song, Ghazal, Poetry Recitation, Quiz, Fine Arts, and Photography were held. Competitions were also held in the category of Western Song (Solo) and Folk Song. Gidha, Rawaiti Lok Geet and Bhand were special attraction of the programme.
In the different competitions of Fine Arts, the first position in Collage making was bagged by Taniya. Mehak Bansal and Harpreet Kaur stood first in Mehndi Design, Muskan Kumari won first position in Cartoon Making, Angel Dhiman and Jasleen Kaur stood first in On the Spot Painting, Divya Mutreja and Meena bagged first position in Poster Making and Yash Sharma stood first in Photography. Gurmukh Singh stood first in Clay modeling and ‘Mitti de Khidone’ making. An exclusive competition of Installation display was also held in which team of Divya, Rahul, Priya and Ladpreet stood first. In the category of Lok Kalavan (Folk Arts) competitions, Ritu Verma stood first in Naala Bunana event, Hardeep Kaur stood first in Innu Banauna, Kashish Garg and Aishpreet Kaur bagged the first position in Croshia, Aanchal won first position in Embroidery, Palak won first position in Khiddo making, Lovepreet bagged the first position in Pakhi Making, Mehak and Priya Sharma stood first in Rangoli making, the last event of this segment.
The judges for these events were Prof. Neena Sareen, Prof. Veenu, Dr. Sukhdev Singh, Dr. Rohit Sechdeva, Dr. Nidhi Gupta, Dr. Deepika, Dr. Gagandeep Kaur and Dr. Chetna Sharma.
In General Knowledge Quiz competition, Baljit Singh got the first position and Yashana Goyal stood second. First position was bagged by Simranjeet Singh Chahal in Cultural quiz Competition and Harwinder Kaur won the second position. The judges for quiz were Dr. Ganesh Sethi, Dr Deepika and Dr. Harmohan Sharma.
In Elocution, first position was bagged by Naunidh Maurya and second position won by Yashna Goyal.
In Poetry Recitation, first position was won by Shruti and second position won by Gunawari.
While Shubhangani stood first in Geet/Ghazal competition. In Western Vocal Song (solo) Shubhangani and Deepanshu secured first position.
Jaspreet Singh stood first in folk song and Mankirat Singh stood second.
Punjabi Folk Dances Gidha, Bhangra, Sammi and a special item traditional art ‘Bhand‘ was also enacted by Kamaldeep Singh and Prabhjot Singh. In Mimicry Yashpal stood was winner.
In Pehrawa Pardarshni Competition Palak Bhardwaj stood first while Samridhi secured second position.
Dr. Gurdeep Singh, Dr. Rupinder Sharma and Prof. Tanvir Kaur were judges for Poetry Recitation. Dr. Bhanavi Wadhawan, Prof Vaneet Kaur and Dr. Rupinder Sharma were judges for elocution. For western solo song the judges were Prof. (Ms.) Jagdeep Kaur, Dr. Harmohan Sharma and Dr. Mohamad Habib. The judges for folk song / Geet Ghazal were Dr. Harmohan Sharma, Dr. Mohamad Habib, Dr. Manpreet Kaur (Physics Dept.).
At the end of the programme, the Chief Guest distributed the prizes to the winners. Dr. Harmohan Sharma, Dr. Bhanvi Wadhawan, Dr. Devinder Singh and Dr.Veerpal Kaur conducted the stage.
Dr. Ashwani Sharma, College Registrar and Dr. Ajit Kumar, Controller of examination appreciated the winners and Vice Principal Prof. Jasvir Kaur presented the vote of thanks.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਅੱਜ ਸਲਾਨਾ ‘ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ-ਖੋਜ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ 2023′ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਲਾਤਮਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰਜਨਾਤਮਿਕ ਰੁਚੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੱਫੁਲਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਬਾਵਾ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਾਈਸ ਚੇਅਰਪਰਸਨ, ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਘੱਟ-ਗਿਣਤੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ, ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਰਸਮੀ ਆਗਾਜ਼ ਜਯੋਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਜਵਲਨ, ਸਰਸਵਤੀ ਵੰਦਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਗਾਇਨ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਛੁਪੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਢੁੱਕਵਾਂ ਮੰਚ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਵਪੱਖੀ ਸ਼ਖ਼ਸੀਅਤ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਕਾਲਜ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਆਯੋਜਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ।
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕਾਮਰਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਨ ਸਹਿ-ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਨੀਨਾ ਸਰੀਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾ ਦੀ ਕਾਮਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਬਾਵਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਰਹੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਤਮਕ ਮਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਉੱਚ-ਕਲਾਤਮਕ ਮੁੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਰਾਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ।ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਖਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ-ਖੋਜ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਵੱਖੋ-ਵੱਖਰੀਆਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 400 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ।
ਫਾਈਨ ਆਰਟਸ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਲਾਜ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਨਿਆ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਮਹਿਕ ਬਾਂਸਲ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਮਹਿੰਦੀ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ, ਮੁਸਕਾਨ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਾਰਟੂਨ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ, ਏਂਜਲ ਧੀਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਸਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਆਨ ਸਪਾਟ ਪੇਂਟਿੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ, ਦਿਵਿਆ ਮੁਟਰੇਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੀਨਾ ਨੇ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ, ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਫੋਟੋਗ੍ਰਾਫੀ ਵਿਚ ਯਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਲੇਅ ਮਾਡਲਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦੇ ਖਿਡੌਣੇ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਰਿਹਾ। ਇੰਸਟਾਲੇਸ਼ਨ ਡਿਸਪਲੇਅ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਵੀ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਵਿਆ, ਰਾਹੁਲ, ਪ੍ਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਡਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਰਹੀ। ਲੋਕ ਕਲਾਵਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਤਰਗੰਤ ਨਾਲਾ ਬੁਨਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਰਿਤੂ ਵਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ, ਇੱਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਨੰਬਰ ਤੇ ਰਹੀ, ਕ੍ਰੋਸ਼ੀਆ ਬੁਨਣ ਦਾ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਗਰਗ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ਼ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਕਢਾਈ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਂਚਲ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਖਿਦੋ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਲਕ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਨੰਬਰ ਤੇ ਰਹੀ, ਪੱਖੀ ਬੁਨਣ ਦਾ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਲਵਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਰੰਗੋਲੀ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਆ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਰਹੀਆਂ।
ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਜੱਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਨੀਨਾ ਸਰੀਨ, ਡਾ. ਸੁਖਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ.ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸਚਦੇਵਾ, ਡਾ. ਨਿਧੀ ਗੁਪਤਾ, ਡਾ. ਦੀਪਿਕਾ, ਡਾ.ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਚੇਤਨਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਅਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਜਨਰਲ ਨਾਲਿਜ ਕੁਇਜ਼ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਲਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਕੁਇਜ਼ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਮਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚਾਹਲ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕੁਇਜ਼ ਦੇ ਜੱਜ ਡਾ. ਗਣੇਸ਼ ਸੇਠੀ, ਡਾ. ਦੀਪਿਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਹਰਮੋਹਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਸਨ। ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਨੌਨਿਧ ਮੌਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਯਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕਵਿਤਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਸ਼ਰੁਤੀ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਗੁਣਾਵਰੀ ਨੇ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਦ ਕਿ ਗੀਤ/ਗ਼ਜ਼ਲ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਭਾਂਗਨੀ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਵੋਕਲ ਗੀਤ (ਸੋਲੋ) ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਭਾਂਗਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੀਪਾਂਸ਼ੂ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਰਹੇ।
ਲੋਕ ਗੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਸਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਨਕੀਰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਰਹੇ।
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਲੋਕ ਨਾਚ ਗਿੱਧਾ, ਭੰਗੜਾ, ਸੰਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਆਈਟਮ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਕਲਾ ‘ਭੰਡ‘ ਵੀ ਕਮਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।ਮਿਮਕਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਸ਼ਪਾਲ ਜੇਤੂ ਰਹੇ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ‘ਪਹਿਰਾਵਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ‘ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪਲਕ ਭਾਰਦਵਾਜ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਮਰਿੱਧੀ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।
ਕਵਿਤਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਤਨਵੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਜੱਜ ਸਨ । ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਲਈ ਡਾ. ਭਾਨਵੀ ਵਧਾਵਨ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਵਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਜੱਜ ਸਨ। ਪੱਛਮੀ ਸੋਲੋ ਗੀਤ ਦੇ ਜੱਜ ਪ੍ਰੋ.(ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ) ਜਗਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ. ਹਰਮੋਹਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਹਬੀਬ ਸਨ। ਲੋਕ ਗੀਤ/ਗੀਤ ਗ਼ਜ਼ਲ ਦੇ ਜੱਜ ਡਾ. ਹਰਮੋਹਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਡਾ. ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਹਬੀਬ, ਡਾ. ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ (ਭੌਤਿਕ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ) ਸਨ।
ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਾਮ ਤਕਸੀਮ ਕੀਤੇ।ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਡਾ. ਹਰਮੋਹਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਡਾ. ਭਾਨਵੀ ਵਧਾਵਨ, ਡਾ. ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ.ਵੀਰਪਾਲ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਮੰਚ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
